Summary of last class B1.3 Fridays:

Kate gave back the progres test.
We were comparing types of driving in different cities and countries (Page 19. Ex. 3b). We also discussed about who drives better men or women?
We did different exercises to look the difference between BE USED TO and GET USED TO (Page 19. Ex. 4 and 8). Exercise 8 was specially amazing!
In the break we were talking about kinds of memory. It seems writting memory predominates in our class.
Finally we started unit 2C and did exercises 1 and 2 in groups (It was about timely tips) and 3, 4 and 6.

FOR HOMEWORK: Page 22 Ex. 3 and Page 23 Ex. 6 (only the first topic: "TV makes children violent". Write your opinion.)

I think we had an interesting class but with quite a few absences. Paloma has written this summary:

"Hi Class,

 

On Tuestay we did two things. The first part of the class, we spoke about the English intonation, making emphasis on the presentations. After that, we dedicated the rest of the class talking about our professional future plans and about job interviews.

We listened a listening about a short job interview, and then we talked about the vocabulary. Finally, the last 15 minutes,

we talked in pairs, one as a headhunter and the other one as an interviewee.

 

This is the summary of the last class.

Hi Kate and classmates!
The last class we started talking about the final project or presentation. We did some groups. At the moment there are two groups of three people:

-One group is going to do it about a TV quiz.
-The second one (my group) is going to do it about "spanish people around the world"
-Noelia and Javi are going to do it alone.
-The people who didn't come on Wednesday please come on monday and say Kate your proyect theme if you want to finish the grade.

After speak about the proyect we did a roleplay between psychologist and patient in pairs. Kate really liked my role as a psychologist. Maybe I have to change my studies hahaha.

Finally we did a listening about a poll of the best and worst holidays of the one hundred people.

That's all I remember.

Hi Group,

This is the material for the last 2 classes. One will be marijuana - legalization or not?, listening and roleplay - and the other job interviews. Since Irene is also giving a presentation on Tuesday and the Job Interview class probably takes longer, I  think it's better to do the latter on Thursday.  However, I'll be flexible and come prepared to do either class on Tuesday, so you do the same.
