Susana did a great summary of yesterday's class:
Summary of
class: by Susana Alvarez
First we
were correcting Progress Test 3, changing in pairs.
Then we did
a game with cards about bad luck (but funny! J) stories. Each of us had to read our story in
the card, and tell to each person of our group, and afterwards, we wrote
sentences using the 3rd conditional.
Since
Friday was the Day of the Working Woman, we discussed in groups, and then in
common, about some questions about this topic:
- Do men and women compete with
each other for jobs?
- Do women end up having two jobs
instead of one?
- Is there still a “battle of the
sexes” in the work force? Why or why not?
- Has one sex suffered more from
the economic crisis? Why?
- Are quotas ever necessary?
Also we
heard a conversation about THE “battle
of the sexes”, a conversation between three women, and then we answered a few
questions that Kate previously read to us
about the content.
Homework:
page 34 (4A-Urband legends) , ex. 1,2 & 3. Also, we have to make a little
research about an urban legend, to talk about it in the next class.
In addition, as more extra work I am posting the link to a funny and interesting YouTube about the difference between en and women's brains. ( It's a little connected to the topic of yesterday's class and it's also very funny though maybe a little difficult for this level.)
We won't have a lot of time to review it in class but please try to see it and do the exercises. :) Kate
